oarfish sea monster
Last year, an extremely rare fish, large, was found on a beach in California, and scientists declared it the longest bony fish in the world. Instructors at Catalina Marine Institute have found housing fish named oarfish. Animal, with a length of 5 meters, represented a major breakthrough for researchers. "I've never seen a fish that big. Recent oarfish that I saw was 3 meters," said Mark Waddington, captain of the ship.

The fish would have died of natural causes and his body was found almost perfectly intact. Most likely, the fish had died shortly before.

Oarfish is the longest known vertebrate fish in the world, although they are rare occasions when he is seen alive. In June, researchers have uncovered a video that show a healthy oarfish that swim in the Gulf of Mexico, the first time he was filmed in its natural habitat.

Oarfish swim at depths of between 400 and 1,000 meters and very rarely comes to the surface. The creature would be inspired seafaring horror stories where people were taken from the vessels by creatures tens of meters long.

During a press conference, the most longegiv employee of CIMI said: "For 32 years since I am here I have never seen anything like it." It took 15 people for that fish to be removed from the water and went to the beach. It looks like a giant 7 meters long fish was discovered by officers of the navy in 1996, also in California, near San Diego.
