Antony Blinken, Deputy Secretary of State, carried out between May 5 to 10 a diplomatic tour in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and France, dedicated to examining issues related to bilateral and regional cooperation, according to a US State Department.
Warsaw, Blinken had meetings with Polish officials Thursday, which is devoted to bilateral and regional issues, including NATO summit in summer and the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine.
The next stage of the tournament the American official is Sofia, where Antony Blinken will examine aspects of bilateral cooperation and the NATO, including the work of the five working groups USA - Bulgaria launched last year by the Secretary of State, John Kerry, Minister Bulgarian foreign Daniel Mitov. Issues will be addressed on combating terrorism, energy diversification, rule of law and education.
According to him, Saturday and Sunday, Blinken will visit Bucharest, where he will meet with government officials on the future NATO Summit, bilateral security cooperation, bilateral economic partnership, rule of law and reform process.
